I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
